Download Boris FX Optics, developed by film VFX professionals, is a digital imaging tool that simulates optical filters, specialized lens, film and particle stock, lens flares and optical lab processes. It also offers color correction, lighting effects, and natural photos.

Optics will take your photos to the next step. Choose from thousands of presets and 160 filters. This software offers a wide range of presets and filters to help you enhance your photos.

Masking controls are easy to use and allow you to limit all filters to a specific part of an image. Optics’ powerful toolkit includes a layering system to apply multiple filters, a touch-up paint system and a batch process system. Images, lenses and lighting.

Installation guide

  • Software installation
  • Copy the Sapphire.ofx to the following folders.

C:\Program Files\BorisFX\Optics 2022\resources\plugins\Sapphire\lib64
You can also find out more about the following:
C:\Program Files\BorisFX\Optics 2022\resources\plugins\Sapphire\Sapphire.ofx.bundle\Contents\Win64

  • Replace the Optics.exe file in the folder

C:\Program Files\BorisFX\Optics 2022

  • Copy the GenArts Folder to C:ProgramData. (Note that C:ProgramData in drive C is a hidden directory)
